HANCEVILLE – Hopewell Baptist Church, as part of its 175th anniversary celebration, is hosting the inaugural Frances & Doug Reese Memorial Community Thanksgiving Meal on Wednesday, Nov. 15 from 4:30-8 p.m.
According to the church, “On November 15 we gather together, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, to serve our community. We are opening the doors of our church and will not turn anyone away needing a free, hot meal, no strings attached.
“This meal, developed as part of our year-long 175th Anniversary Celebration is named in memory of two great servants of our church, Frances and Doug Reese. We feel that this meal embodies their spirit of giving back to others. No donations, financial or otherwise, will be taken for the meal.”
A traditional Thanksgiving menu will be served. Guests can dine in or carry out.
Hopewell Baptist Church is located at 492 County Road 582 in Hanceville.
