CULLMAN – The 31st annual Ho! Ho! Ho! Christmas Show was held at Depot Park on Saturday and featured a huge selection of vehicles displayed for guests to admire. The car, truck and motorcycle show is put on to raise money for Christmas Love of Cullman and Cullman Caring for Kids. Those organizations received the proceeds from the entries into the car show and the money raised in the auction.

One of the event organizers, Sonya Talley, explained what the show is for, how it started and some of the good it does for kids in the community around the holiday season.

“This is our 31st annual show; Larry Harris started the show and then Burl Smith joined in. They’ve both since passed away and we’ve just continued to put it on to raise money for Christmas Love,” Talley said. “Christmas Love is an organization through Cullman Caring for Kids and they help give Christmas gifts to kids in Cullman County. They give toys and clothes and things like that to kids who may not have any gifts at Christmas otherwise. We also raise money with the auction as well as the car show.”

One of the people who entered into this year’s show was Teresa McCrary. McCrary was there with her motorcycle on display and talked about why she enjoys this particular show.

“This is my second time coming to this show. It’s a good-sized show; it’s a nice one that has a lot of different vehicles and cars and trucks and it makes for a good show,” McCrary said.

McCrary is also participating in the show for the cause and thinks that raising money for kids this holiday season is an important cause to get behind.

“Obviously it’s a great cause. It’s always great to be able to come together and help the kids in the community, especially this time of the year. Last year was our first year coming to this one and they had a really good turnout last year. There was a good crowd of visitors and participants which is great.”
