CULLMAN – The Cullman Police Department over the past several days executed multiple search warrants, resulting in the arrests of 12 individuals on a variety of drug charges.
According to a media release from the CPD, Sgt. Chris Thomason and Sgt. Intae Suh, along with Officers Trey Higginbotham, Dustin Colburn and Cole Kelley, recovered heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, prescription pills, weapons and cash. Several of the suspects also had outstanding warrants at the time of their arrests.
“I would like to recognize all of the hard work and effort put in by each and every officer on a daily basis to try and keep as many drugs off the street as possible,” said Thomason.
The 12 people arrested were:
Holden Burrone, 23, of Berlin was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Burrone was out on bond for a previous drug charge at the time of the arrest. He was transported to the Cullman County Detention Center and has since made bond.
Ramona Riggs, 18, of Berlin was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Riggs was out on bond for a previous drug charge at the time of the arrest. She was transported to the Cullman County Detention Center and has since made bond.
Justin Barnes, 25, of Berlin was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Barnes was transported to the Cullman County Detention Center and has since made bond.
Timothy Boone, 23, of Berlin was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Boone also had outstanding felony warrants at the time of his arrest. He was transported to the Cullman County Detention Center and remains incarcerated.
Donna Marcum, 54, of Berlin was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant with the CPD for unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Marcum was transported to the Cullman County Detention Center and has since made bond.
Ronald Gregory Witcher, 58, of Berlin was arrested on felony probation warrants. Witcher was transported to the Cullman County Detention Center and remains incarcerated.
Everette Eugene Sims, 44, of Cullman was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Sims was transported to the Cullman County Detention Center and has since made bond.
Kimberley Ann Sims, 49, of Cullman was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Sims was transported to the Cullman County Detention Center and has since made bond.
Janice Michelle Taylor, 50, of Cullman was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Taylor was transported to the Cullman County Detention Center and has since made bond.
James Christopher Caudle, 43, of Vinemont was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed weapon. Caudle was out on bond for a previous drug charge at the time of his arrest. He was transported to the Cullman County Detention Center and has since made bond.
Cristina Lynn Schafer, 39, of Vinemont was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of prescription drugs. Schafer was on probation at the time of her arrest. Schafer was transported to the Cullman County Detention Center and remains incarcerated.
Phillip Author Canada, 42, of Vinemont was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of prescription drugs. Canada also had outstanding warrants with the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office at the time of his arrest. He was transported to the Cullman County Detention Center where he remains incarcerated.
