CULLMAN – The smell of funnel cakes and candy apples will fill the air Thursday night, when the 63rd annual Cullman County Fair opens its gates at 5 p.m. at the Cullman County Fairgrounds.
The fair, put on by the Cullman Lions Club, will run from Sept. 21-30 and include plenty of rides, carnival games and food, livestock shows, arts and crafts exhibits, vendor booths, pageants and music.
MegaPasses, which are $22 and include admission, as well as unlimited rides, are being sold at People’s Bank locations through Friday, Sept. 22. Tickets may be purchased at the gate and parking is free.

5 p.m. Opening Ceremony
7 p.m. Tiny Fair Princess and Petite Fair Princess Pageant in the Coca-Cola Theatre

5 p.m. King/Queen of the Kitchen announced
7:30 p.m. WKUL Talent Show in the Coca-Cola Theatre
Monday, Sept. 25
noon-5 p.m. Student Day (free admission for all Cullman city and county students)
Tuesday, Sept. 26
7 p.m. Miss Cullman County Fair Queen 2017 Pageant in the Coca-Cola Theatre
Wednesday, Sept. 27
10 a.m.-1 p.m. Senior Citizens Day (free admission for all Cullman city and county senior citizens)
Thursday, Sept. 28
7 p.m. Little, Junior and Teen Princess Pageant in the Coca-Cola Theatre
