WEST POINT – Two West Point residents were arrested and jailed today after a search of a residence led to the alleged discovery of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Cullman Police Department Sgts. Chris Thomason, Scott Sanford and Eric Cole, along with Officers Trey Higginbotham, Cole Kelley and Dustin Colburn executed the search warrant at a residence on County Road 1192.
During the search, authorities allegedly recovered approximately 27 grams of methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana and various items of drug paraphernalia.
Megan Nail James, 33, was arrested for possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond is $33,000.
Christopher Adam Barnett, 41, was arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled substance. The CPD said Barnett also had multiple outstanding warrants with other agencies at the time of his arrest. His bond is $4,000.
Both subjects were transported to the Cullman County Detention Center where they remain incarcerated as of press time.
