CULLMAN – Mitch Smith Chevrolet is hosting a fundraiser for Make-A-Wish Alabama on Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
For a suggested $8 donation, you get a barbecue sandwich from Chappy’s BBQ, baked beans, cole slaw, chips, a gourmet cookie from Panera Bread and a drink. Adventurous folks may substitute a deep-fried hotdog and french fries for the barbecue.
The event will also serve as a drop-off location for victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas.
Cook’n for a Cause is sponsored by Comfort Care Hospice, Mitch Smith Chevrolet and Panera Bread.
Mitch Smith Chevrolet is located at 1655 Cherokee Ave. SW in Cullman.
About Make-A-Wish Alabama:
For Alabama children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 18 who are battling life-threatening medical conditions, Make-A-Wish brings hope, strength and joy into their lives.
Children can be referred by a medical professional currently treating the child, the child's parents/guardians or the child him- or herself.
There is no cost to the family. Through the support of generous donors and volunteers, Make-A-Wish is able to provide magical experiences to over a hundred children each year.
