CULLMAN – The United Way of Cullman County has established a relief fund for the Houston area and those affected by the devastating and widespread flooding caused by Hurricane Harvey.  All contributions to the United Way’s Flood Relief Fund will be used to help with both immediate, basic needs and long-term recovery services.

“We are sending 100 percent of the donations made to the (Flood) Relief Fund to help with recovery efforts,” said Sammie Danford, executive director.  “Cullman residents know firsthand the challenges that come from a disaster; their community will need incredible resources to recover.”

Year-round, United Way invests in first responders, so they can respond quickly in times of disaster, as they are doing now.  If you or someone you know needs assistance, please call 2-1-1, the United Way-funded community resource line for emergency assistance 24 hours a day.
