The first incident occurred early Tuesday morning, with a search warrant executed on County Road 1838 in the New Canaan community.  Three suspects were arrested after agents and deputies allegedly discovered 2 grams of methamphetamine, prescription medication not belonging to anyone at the residence, and other drug paraphernalia.

Later Tuesday, in a separate incident, CNET and CCSO SRT executed a search warrant on U.S Highway 231 in the New Canaan community. During the search, CNET agents and CCSO SRT allegedly recovered various prescription pills along with marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A small child was in the residence and the Cullman County Department of Human Resources was called to the scene to conduct a safety plan. The CCSO would like to thank the Arab Police Department for their assistance, said a media release from the department.

Kelli Diane Blackmon, 32, of New Canaan, was arrested for second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of prescription drugs and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She is being held on a $6,000 bond.

The third incident happened on Wednesday when a search warrant was executed on County Road 1669 in the Holly Pond community. Allegedly discovered were several marijuana plants growing outside the residence, as well as components to a meth lab. Deputies also allegedly recovered a 12-gauge shotgun at the residence.

Johnie Lee Kuykendall, 42, of Holly Pond, was arrested for second-degree unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance, first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on $1 million bond.

Also arrested at the scene, on unrelated warrants, was Jason Robert Crocker, 39, of Holly Pond for a failure to appear traffic warrant and a third-degree assault warrant. He is being held on a $3,000 property bond and $300 cash bond.

In all, the CCSO seized approximately 2 grams of methamphetamine, numerous prescription pills, meth lab components, numerous marijuana plants, marijuana, a 12-gauge shotgun and other drug paraphernalia.

“I am glad we were able to arrest this many suspects and get them out of these communities where you have really good people trying to raise their families. I would like to thank the community members who called and gave us tips because that is one of most valuable resources in fighting drug dealers,” said Sheriff Matt Gentry. “I would also like to thank the CNET agents and the SRT deputies for the great job they did the last two days on these cases.”

All suspects are currently being held in the Cullman County Detention Center.
