CULLMAN – Tomorrow, Friday, July 28, Coast Gas will be holding its second annual Serving Cullman Day, this time focusing on students and providing supplies for them as they head back to school. From 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Coast Gas will be accepting donations of school supplies for local children in need.

The event, which will be held at Tractor Supply Company at 1807 Second Ave. SW, will begin at 10 a.m., and the first 100 children to arrive will be given goodie bags with school supplies.

A complimentary lunch of hotdogs, chips and beverages will be served, wholly provided by Coast Gas. There will also be inflatables set up for kids to enjoy.

“Last year we held an event celebrating the service men of the community,” Erica Bryant, organizer of the event said. “This year we wanted to give back to the community by helping prepare kids for the upcoming school year.”

Bryant said her goal each year is to turn to some aspect of the Cullman community and focus on celebrating and supporting that with these annual events.

The back to school day will wrap up around 2 p.m.
