BERLIN – A man and woman from the Berlin community were arrested Wednesday after agents with the Cullman Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) executed a search warrant of their residence and allegedly found 12 grams of methamphetamine, eight alprazolam pills, a .9mm pistol, steroids, needles and other drug paraphernalia.

Authorities arrested Ronnie Regina Millar, 35 and Jesse Dean Thomas, 34 at the residence on County Road 737.

Millar was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She is being held in the Cullman County Detention Center on a $37,000 bond.

Thomas is charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, certain person forbidden to possess a pistol and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He has made bond.

“This unfortunately continues to show how drug dealers are trying to sell not only meth to our kids and adults, but also pills are becoming a major source of addiction. We try to have a proactive approach in fighting drugs on two fronts: arresting the dealers and also educating our children and adults about the danger of addiction,” said Sheriff Matt Gentry. “I would also like to thank CNET for the good job they did in getting these narcotics out of our community and safely getting the operation done because any time a gun is involved you never know how the operation may go.”
