DODGE CITY – Dodge City Days is rolling into town tomorrow. Said Dodge City Mayor Tawana Canada, the town holds the event so community members can come together and “celebrate our town and how wonderful we are.”

Vendors kick off the event at 8 a.m., followed by inflatables for children, which will be located directly behind the People’s Bank on Howard’s Circle, said Canada.

There will be live music at Dodge City Days as well.

“We will have the Trammel Family, a Christian family band, performing at the senior center at 10 a.m.,” Canada said. “And we will also have Brick Avenue performing at the porch of the town hall at 1 p.m.”

According to the mayor, Dodge City Fest will have 35 vendors, with both food and arts and crafts.

“We will have the Cullman Environmental Agency there as well,” Canada said. “Charles Banister (of the CEA) collects scrap and disused bicycles, fixes them up, and gives them out to children.”

Canada estimates that around 3,000 people visited last year, and she hopes to see even more this year.
