JACKSONVILLE –  More than 700 students received degrees at Jacksonville State University's spring 2017 commencement. Graduates from the Cullman area include:

  • Mitchell Benton IV, of Cullman – B.S. in marketing
  • Joanna L. Gobbell, of Cullman – B.A. in biology
  • Jessica A. Lowe, of Holly Pond – B.S.W. in social work
  • Aspyn L. Seely, of Cullman – B.S. in criminal justice
  • John J. Sterling, of Cullman – B.A. in communication
  • Amie A. Veal, of Hanceville – M.S.E. in family and consumer sciences

JSU President John M. Beehler presented graduates their degrees during three ceremonies, accompanied by Provost Rebecca O. Turner and Vice Provost Joe Walsh.
