CULLMAN COUNTY – The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) arrested a Holly Pond woman for trafficking on Friday. It was the second trafficking arrest for the CCSO in as many days.
Agents with the Cullman Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) arrested Stephanie Renae Williams, 40, following a traffic stop at the intersection of Alabama Highway 69 N and County Road 1693.
Williams was initially stopped after she passed CNET agents driving at a high rate of speed. Once she was pulled over, a search of the vehicle was conducted with a K-9 deputy. Agents allegedly recovered 1.2 ounces of ICE, a purer form of methamphetamine, along with drug paraphernalia in the suspect’s vehicle.
Williams was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding.
“In two days, Thursday and Friday, we were able to seize almost 3 ounces of meth before it was distributed in Cullman County,” said Sheriff Matt Gentry. “CNET and all of our deputies have been doing a great job in finding and arresting drug dealers.”
Williams is currently being held in the Cullman County Detention Center with an $1 million bond.
Last Thursday, the CCSO arrested Misti Sharee McClintock, 41, of Cullman after a search of her vehicle allegedly produced 1.4 ounces of ICE, along with drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana.
McClintock was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
