CULLMAN – Two people were arrested yesterday after Cullman City Police Department (CPD) officers allegedly found components of a meth lab and various drugs at an apartment on the city's southwest side.
According to a press release from the CPD, after receiving complaints of drug activity happening at an apartment on Fifth Street, CPD Officers Trey Higginbotham, Dustin Colburn and Kyle Foshee visited the residence to speak with the tenant, Kayti Carroll, 25.
Officers gained consent from Carroll to search the premises for drugs, said the CPD, and during the search discovered methamphetamine, suboxone strips, various drug paraphernalia and a red duffel bag containing methamphetamine lab components.
A male subject, Jeremy Runyon, 30, was allegedly found hiding in a bedroom closet of the apartment.
Runyon and Carroll were both arrested and charged with first-degree unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Each is being held in the Cullman County Detention Center on a $1 million bond.
