(UPDATED) 2 dead after ATV wreck at Stony Lonesome

Updated: 10:26 p.m. The two people killed today as a result of an ATV crash at Stony Lonesome have been identified by Cullman County Coroner Jeremy L. Kilpatrick as Lawrence Richey, 34, of Smiths Grove, Kentucky and Erin Duncan, 22, of Elkins, Arkansas.

Richey was pronounced dead at the scene. Ducan was pronounced dead at Walker Baptist Medical Center.

Cullman County Coroner Jeremy L. Kilpatrick has confirmed that two people were killed. One was pronounced dead on the scene and one died later at Walker Baptist Medical Hospital.

BREMEN – An ATV crash occurred at Stony Lonesome OHV Park today at approximately 4 p.m., causing multiple injuries. Two possible fatalities have been reported; however, the fatalities have not been confirmed by Cullman County Coroner Jeremy L. Kilpatrick at this time.

The original call from Cullman County Dispatch reported an ATV wreck with multiple injuries and a possible fatality. Two people were reportedly unresponsive.

Bremen and Dodge City Volunteer Fire Departments and Cullman Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were the first to be dispatched. Cullman Fire Rescue and the Cullman County Sheriff's Office are assisting.

Multiple calls and text messages to Cullman County Parks and Recreation Director Doug Davenport have not been returned.
