Alabama does note raise enough mules and horses to supply its own needs, says Doctor S. Sugg, Extension Livestock Specialist at Auburn.
“It is estimated that it takes from 30,000 to 35,000 mules and horses annually to provide replacements and 90 to 95 percent of this number is purchased from outside the state. The state could save $3,500,000 to $4,000,000 annually, by having more brood mares on the farm and raising our own replacements of work stock.”
Cullman City Cemetery Decoration will be on May 8th, led by the following: General Committee, S.H. Green, C.S. Biggers, C.C. Sheeuing, J.A. Dunlap and Hugo Buettner.
