“We are excited to host our first regional job fair in North Alabama,” said Alabama Department of Labor Secretary Fitzgerald Washington. “A huge variety of employers have registered for the job fair, encompassing all sorts of career fields, such as engineering, hospitality, banking, retail, education, and more. All of them have available jobs to fill – it’s one of our requirements to participate. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for a job or looking for a change in career.
“We are especially thankful for the continued cooperation and enthusiasm of our partners in this event, WAFF 48 News, Mayor Tommy Battle, and the City of Huntsville. The dedication and collaboration between local governments, state government, and private industry is what makes these job fairs a success,” said Washington.
“Huntsville has one of the most highly skilled workforces in the country. This regional job fair presents a terrific opportunity for job-seekers to connect with the many industries and businesses looking for quality employees,” said Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle.
Applicants should come to the job fair with multiple copies of their résumés. They should be prepared to interview and should be dressed professionally.
The Alabama Career Center System’s mobile career center along with staff from the area career centers will be onsite at the job fair to assist jobseekers in applying for jobs.
