Cullman Regional to host colon cancer awareness seminar

CULLMAN – According to the American Cancer Society, colorectal cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths in the United States.  Early diagnosis can often lead to a complete cure of colon cancer. Cullman Regional is hosting a Colon Cancer Awareness Seminar on Thursday, March 16. Join surgeon, Dr. William E. Smith as he discusses colon cancer awareness and provides information on how, with proper screening, colon cancer can be detected before symptoms develop, when it is most curable.

This lunch-and-learn program will be held in Cullman Regional’s Colonel Cullman Room in the Community Education Center in Professional Office Building 2- 1912 Alabama Highway 157 E Cullman, AL 35058.

Doors open at 11 a.m. and the program will begin at 11:30 a.m.  Cost of the program is $5 for Healthy Life members and $8 for others. Call 256-735-5600 to register.
