NWS Huntsville: Frost Advisory from 3-7 a.m. Saturday morning

CULLMAN – The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a FROST ADVISORY for an area including Cullman County from 3-7 a.m. Saturday morning.

The advisory is in effect for the counties of Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin (AL), Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan, Marshall, Jackson, DeKalb and Cullman.

Clear skies and light winds will allow temperatures to drop quickly overnight across northern Alabama. Temperatures will drop into the lower to middle 30s overnight resulting in the development of frost.

A heavy frost may cause damage to sensitive vegetation and vegetation already ahead of schedule due to the accelerated growing season.

A Frost Advisory means that widespread frost is expected. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.
