DANVILLE – A Danville man is being held at the Cullman County Detention Center without bond after authorities arrested him for a string of burglaries in Cullman, Morgan and Lawrence Counties this week.
Joshua Felton Ledlow, 33, of Danville is facing two counts of third-degree burglary in Cullman County, as well as additonal, pending charges from Morgan and Lawrence Counties.
The Cullman County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) had been conducting an investigation into burglaries that occurred on County Road 1101 in the Battleground community. A BOLO (be on the lookout) was issued on a silver Dodge Ram pickup truck by the CCSO after the vehicle was photographed in the area of the burglaries.
Two days ago, CCSO investigators received a tip from a Cullman County resident who saw a truck matching the vehicle's description and got the license plate number. The tip led CCSO investigators to Danville, in Morgan County, to Ledlow's residence.
Just before investigators arrived at the residence, they met a vehicle matching the description of the Dodge Ram pickup and conducted a traffic stop. The traffic stop, and a search of the suspect’s vehicle, revealed stolen items from multiple burglaries.
CCSO investigators contacted the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) after evidence showed Ledlow may have committed burglaries there as well.
Investigators recovered stolen property, including flat screen televisions, iPads, jewelry, power tools, window wall AC units and multiple other items.
“I am proud of the job investigators did on this case by continually following up on leads which lead them to this thief who lives in Morgan County. I am also thankful that all the agencies involved were able to recover most of the property for the owners,” said Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry.
