Traffic stop leads to arrest for meth

CULLMAN – A Baldwin man was arrested in Cullman after a traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs and drug paraphernalia, according to the Cullman City Police Department.

Sgt. Chris Thomason and Officer Tyler Jackson conducted a traffic stop on Highway 278 West and Cleveland Avenue on a Honda Accord because an expired tag. The driver was identified as Jamey Eugene Arwood, 43, of Baldwin. During the stop, Thomason allegedly recovered methamphetamine, Focalin pills (stimulant, Schedule 2 controlled substance) and drug paraphernalia. 

Arwood was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the Cullman County Detention Center where he was booked on a $15,000 bond.
