CULLMAN COUNTY – Three people are behind bars facing drug trafficking charges after a search warrant led to the discovery of approximately 92 grams of synthetic cannabinoids, also known as synthetic marijuana, along with various types of drug paraphernalia.
On Monday, Jan. 30, Cullman City Police Department (CPD) Sgt. Chris Thomason, Investigator Justin Craft and Officers Tyler Jackson, Trey Higginbotham and Kelly Hubbard, along with Cullman County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Daniel Cummings, executed a search warrant at 1351 County Road 715 Apt. F. According to a media release, Jackson had information of illegal activity at the residence and was able to secure a search warrant.
Meghan Sansing, 33, of Cullman, Scott Hagemore, 36, of Cullman and Johnny Clifton, 61, of Cullman were arrested and charged with trafficking in illegal drugs and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
There were two juveniles at the residence at the time the search warrant was executed, including one toddler. The Cullman County Department of Human Resources (DHR) was called out and a safety plan was put in place for the children.
Said Thomason, “(I) would like to commend Officer Tyler Jackson for his hard work and effort, along with all officers involved. This is a win any time this amount of drugs can be taken off the street.”
All three suspects were transported to the Cullman County Detention Center; each has a $1 million bond.
Anyone with information on illegal activity is asked to contact the CPD at 256-734-2434 or 256-775-7179.
