Funeral service for Roy D. “Bull” Taylor will be 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with the Bro. David Chambers officiating. Music will be provided by April and Drew Pearson. Interment will be in Lawrence Chapel Cemetery,
Mr. Taylor, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017, at his residence.
Mr. Taylor was a Union Boilmaker Local 108- Birmingham for 33 years before retiring. He then owned Taylor’s Welding Service and Taylor’s Produce. Even though he stayed very busy Roy still took time to enjoy his family whom he loved dearly and his two favorite sports, hunting and fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Vanessa Pearson Taylor, sons, Jonathan (Kendra) Taylor and Daniel (Misty) Sims, daughter, Vicki (Randy) Trammell, brothers, Jerry Taylor and Ronnie (Joan) Taylor, sister, Martha Taylor; grandchildren, Miranda (Roger) Shiftlett, Taylor (Hannah) Trammell, Linley (Victor) Hanson, Crystal (Jarrod) Speakman, Zachary (Tori) Taylor, Willow Taylor, Jaxon Taylor, Mattie Sims, Katelynn Sims, Sarah Burkhalter, Shelby Sims and Colt Sims, great grandchildren, Walker Shiftlett, Audrey Shiftlett, Henry Hanson, Gracie Speakman, Jase Speakman and Macie Speakman. A host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Martha Partain Taylor, and son Rodney Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Taylor, Daniel Sims, Taylor Trammell, Zachary Taylor, Steve Eaves, Kenny Eaves, Joey Bailey and Keith Keaton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Scott Browder, Drew Pearson, Casey Pearson and Johnny Hooper.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 30, 2017, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home.
