Hal Thornton, a member of the Cullman Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), addresses Cullman Area JROTC Cadets Thursday at the Cullman Area Technology Academy in Vinemont. He and other SAR members talked about their Revolutionary War patriot ancestors and their exploits during that conflict. Thornton will assume the leadership of the 1,100-man Alabama State SAR organization next month.
