CULLMAN – The National Weather Service in Huntsville has extended the Flood Warning for our area until 2:30 a.m. Monday morning.
The Flood Warning is in effect for the following areas:
- Jackson County
- Marshall County
- Madison County
- Limestone County
- DeKalb County
- Cullman County
- Morgan County
- Southeastern Lincoln County in Middle Tennessee
- Franklin County in Middle Tennessee
According to the NWS, most of the warning area has received from 2-4 inches of rain since midnight last night, and additional rainfall amounts of 1-3 inches are possible.
"Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding."
