Abe Lee Edwards, 72, of Bear Creek, entered into rest on January 12, 2017 at Haleyville Health Care.
Mr. Edwards was born on February 14, 1944 in Winston County. He was a long time member of Cherry Hill Church of God in Haleyville.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 12pm-2pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be held at 2pm. Brother Royce Brimer and Brother Mickey Crane will officiate. Burial will follow in Littleville Cemetery.
Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nona Mae Edwards; son, Abe Edwards, Jr.; he was "Paw Paw" to 5 grandchildren, Zachary Edwards, Lee Edwards, Carolyn Edwards, Allan Edwards and Savannah Mealer; and 7 great grandchildren, Will Edwards, Clayton Edwards, Hunter Edwards, Dalton Edwards, Anna Green, Rylee Edwards and Maddie Edwards.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ezzie and Mary Ellen Edwards; 5 brothers and 2 sisters.
