Wesley Owen Weeks, age 88 of Center Point Community, passed away at his home the morning of January 8. He was born in Jefferson County to William Ryan and Elsie Mae Noble Weeks. Mr. Weeks served 4 years of military service in the U.S. Navy and served 21 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring from the military with 25 years of service to his country. He was a Baptist and Member of the SS McKenley Reunion Members. He is predeceased by his wife, Mary Ellen Duckett Weeks, wife of 65 years and parents.
Survivors include son, Son, Wesley O. (Tammie) Weeks, Jr.; Daughter, Donna Jo (Larry) Oden; Brother, Maurice (Arnice) Weeks; Grandchildren, Laura Francis Manns, Chase LeAnne Weeks, and Sarah Beth Reese; Great Grandchildren, Byron Manns and Isabella Grace Reese; and a host of nieces, Nephews, family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2017 in Center Point Baptist Church with burial in adjoining cemetery. Mr. Weeks, Sr. will lie in state at the church from 1 p.m. until services begins at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Visitation will be 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Holly Pond Funeral Home.
