UPDATED 1/8/17 at 12:38 p.m. The suspects in last night's robbery of the Battleground Jet-Pep are still at large, according to Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry.
"We are still actively working the case," said Gentry. "I can confirm that there was cash stolen of an undetermined amount."
Gentry confirmed the CCSO is reviewing video surveillance. "We are actively working to get a vehicle description and descriptions of the suspects," he said.

BATTLEGROUND – The Jet-Pep station in the community of Battleground was robbed tonight by a man and woman, according to Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry. The incident occurred at approximately 8:05 p.m., and Cullman County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) deputies and investigators are actively searching for the suspects and working the scene.
Gentry wants area residents to know they are safe. "We believe this is an isolated incident. The citizens are safe and we have extra personnel in those areas," he stated.
The sheriff says there were no injuries in the incident, and it is unknown at this time how much the suspects got away with. "We are still actively investigating what was taken," said Gentry.
The Jet-Pep is located at 16575 Alabama Highway 157 West.
"With it being an ongoing investigation, we are limited on the details we can release at this time," said Gentry. "Once we get more information, then we can release it."
