Funeral service with military honors for Elmer Revis Bryant, Sr., 85, of Cullman will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, January 8th, 2017 at Jones Chapel First Baptist Church with interment in Jones Chapel Cemetery, Rev. Randall Edmondson officiating.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Bryant passed away Thursday, January 5th, 2017 at his residence. He was born January 14, 1931 to parents, Revis and Evelyn Bryant. He was a member of Jones Chapel First Baptist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army and the Korean War. He was past Master of the Masons at Trussville lodge and current member of West Point lodge and member of Zamora Shrine.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Samuel Anthony Bryant; grandson, Jason Wayne Speakman; brother, Charlie Frances Bryant; sisters, Louise Bryant Kiley, Evenia Bryant Kiley.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Bonnie Bryant; children, Elmer Bryant, Jr., Dana Bryant, Susan Bryant, Brenda (Dewayne) Speakman, Christopher (Tonya) Bryant; grandchildren, Joshua Speakman, Jacynthia (Jacob) Moses, Shannon (Lindsey) Bryant, Melanie O’Rear, Matthew O’Rear, Michael Yates, Cierra Yates; great-grandchildren, Braxton Bryant, Lilly Kate Bryant, Tyler Moses; brothers and sisters, Nettie Jane Robbins, Andrew “Rip” Bryant, Alice (Marvin) Startley, Norma Justice, Porter (Donna) Bryant; a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1-3 at the church.
