Tide getting ready to roll through Atlanta

ATLANTA – With 2017 just a few hours away, many people are gearing up for their annual New Year’s Eve parties, but the Alabama Crimson Tide are gearing up for another party, the first semifinal game of the 2017 College Football Playoffs. Bama will take on the Washington Huskies in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl today at 2 p.m. in the Georgia Dome.

Alabama has won 25 straight games and they look to win back-to-back National Championships for the second time in the Nick Saban era. The Crimson Tide come into the game ranked No. 1 and a 14-point favorite over the No. 4 Huskies.

The Crimson Tide have dominated their competition this year, boasting the nation’s best defense. They have allowed just 14 total offensive touchdowns on the season while scoring 10 times on defense.

Alabama’s defense will be in for a fight today as the face a potent Washington Huskie offense. Huskie QB Jake Browning has thrown for more than 3,200 yards this season, leading the Huskies to the PAC-12 championship.

Alabama looks to advance to Tampa in what could be a rematch of the 2016 National Championship game when they defeated the Clemson Tigers in a 45-40 shootout.

No. 1 Alabama and No. 4 Washington will lock horns at 2 p.m. on ESPN in the Peach Bowl and will be followed by No. 2 Clemson and No. 3 Ohio State at 6 p.m. on ESPN in the Fiesta Bowl.
