HOLLY POND – The Cullman Police Department (CPD) used the department's newly-acquired helicopter to locate a stolen vehicle in Holly Pond on Wednesday. CPD pilot Matt Dean and Investigator Sgt. Scott Sanford located the stolen vehicle off of County Road 698.
The vehicle was reported stolen on Dec. 19 from a business in the city of Cullman. Due to the rural area and terrain, the CPD decided to use the new helicopter in the search. Within minutes of take-off, investigators located the vehicle abandoned on a logging road near the Mulberry River close to the Cullman-Blount County line.
