CCCDC awards grants to Dodge City Senior Center and Beat 8 Community Center

CULLMAN COUNTY – The Cullman County Community Development Commission (CCCDC) recently awarded two grants.

The Dodge City Senior Center received $12,000 for upgrades to the interior and the purchase of tables, chairs and other items.

Also receiving $12,000 was the Beat 8 Community Center, for outside improvements such as repaving and handicap accessibility features.

Funding for CCCDC grants comes from taxes- Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) in lieu of taxes and beer taxes. To learn more about the CCCDC or to submit a grant application, visit http://co.cullman.al.us/cccdc/cccdc.html.

The next meeting of the CCCDC will be Monday, Dec. 19 at 6 p.m. at Cullman City Hall. The public is welcome to attend.
