Friday, Dec. 2- Friday, Dec. 23

Winter Wonderland

Sportsman Lake Park will be hosting its annual Winter Wonderland light display during the month of December, beginning on Dec. 2 and ending on Dec. 23. This event features animated light displays, Santa Claus, candy and hot chocolate, Victorian-style carriage rides and a Winter Wonderland train. The hours are 5-9 p.m. during the week and 5-10 p.m. on the weekends. However, weather may modify these hours, so it is advisable to call before you go.

Admission is $5 dollars per vehicle, and an additional $5 dollars if you are interested in the carriage rides.

 


Friday, Dec. 16

Fairview Christmas Parade

The Fairview Lions Club invites you to come fellowship and celebrate the reason for the season!

The parade will start at 6:30 p.m. and follow in front of Fairview High School, with the tree lighting to follow at Fairview Park. The band will play "Silent Night," and there will be a scripture reading.

Santa Claus will be there! Free refreshments to follow.

 


Friday, Dec. 16- Saturday, Dec. 17

Wallace State to Present “In the Mood for Christmas”

Wallace State Fine and Performing Arts will put you "In the Mood for Christmas" on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 16 and 17, at 7 p.m., each night in the Betty Leeth Haynes Theatre!

Enjoy a night filled with holiday favorites performed by the Wallace State Singers, Choir, Jazz Band, Concert Band and Theatre. It will be two nights of fun for the whole family.

Admission is free!

Live, Walk-Through Nativity Story

Valley Springs Baptist Church will have a live, walk-through Nativity story, Dec. 16-18, from 6-8 p.m. each night.

Sunday, Dec. 18

Cornerstone Revival Center presents Sounds of Christmas

Dec. 18 at 4 p.m. Come experience the musical celebration of our Savior's birth with the drama team, kids' choir, men's quarter, mass choir and music influenced by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra as well as other groups.
