HUNTSVILLE -The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) advises motorists that the outside northbound lane of Interstate 65 about one mile north of Exit 318 at Lacon will be closed from 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, until about 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, for bridge deck repair work.
While this lane closure is in place, northbound wide loads will be detoured at Exit 318 to U.S. 31 northbound to Alabama 67 southbound in Decatur to I-65 at Exit 334 in Priceville. Message boards will be in place instructing wide loads to take this detour.
Motorists traveling through the work zone are advised to expect delays and drive with caution. State troopers will assist with traffic control.
