HANCEVILLE – Wallace State’s Campus Ministries hosted an opportunity Wednesday for students and employees to congregate at the college’s flag pole in observance of national “See You at the Pole” day.

The same opportunity was offered at the Wallace State-Oneonta campus, where general studies student Joe Colunga led the prayer and general studies student Jessie Jones shared the devotion.

Jay Terry, a first-semester nursing student, offered a brief devotion in Hanceville and led the initial prayer as individuals in attendance formed a circle and offered individual prayers if they chose to do so.

Wallace State students, administrators, faculty, staff and members of the police force prayed as a group for approximately 25 minutes.

The global theme of this year’s SYATP is “We Cry Out: A Generation Seeking Him,” citing Psalms 24:3-6.
