CULLMAN – A 33-year-old woman was found deceased this morning in the southwest part of the city of Cullman under what Cullman County Coroner Jeremy L. Kilpatrick has confirmed as suspicious circumstances. The woman has been identified as Leslie Clements.

Clements was found in an apartment in the 1000 block of Fuller Street.

"About 8:42 a.m. this morning, we got a call of an unresponsive female on Fuller Street, in some apartments," said Cullman City Police Chief Kenny Culpepper. "When EMS and police arrived, it was determined, when the coroner got there and pronounced her dead, that 33-year-old Leslie Clements was deceased. We're investigating it at this time as a suspicious death. We are going to ask for an autopsy to try to determine the exact cause of death."

The death is under investigation and the body has been sent for autopsy in Huntsville.

This is a developing story.
