Divino Niño Day at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament- starts at 7 a.m.

On behalf of the Nuns of the Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration and the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament we would love to invite you and your family to join us on Saturday, Sept. 3, as we celebrate Divino Niño Day (Divine Child Jesus Day).  Mother Angelica, who founded Our Lady of the Angels Monastery and the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, had a deep love for the Child Jesus, for He was the one who inspired her to "Build Him a Temple." Saturday will be filled with Spanish and English activities for the whole family:  Mass, spiritual talks, confessions, activities for the children and youth, Rosary Procession, and Mariachi Band.  This is a free event and all faiths are welcome. (Lunch will be available for purchase). On Sunday, the Solemnity of the Divine Child Jesus, we will have 7 a.m. Mass and 5 p.m. Benediction Service.

 


Cullman County Home Builders Association Sporting Clay Event- starts at 7:15 a.m.

Come out this Saturday, Sept. 3 to Maple Ridge Gun Club to help support our Scholarship Fundraiser Sporting Clay Event.

Individual Shoot registration begins at 7:15 with shoot starting at 8 a.m. Entry fee is $50 per person with cash pay-out for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place… We will have biscuits & coffee ready!

Team Shoot registration begins at 1:15 p.m. with shoot starting at 2 p.m. Entry fee is or $200 per team. Trophy and bragging rights to the winning team. Dinner for teams to follow.

Ribeye Steak Sandwich Sale- starts at 10 a.m.

The Cullman County Cattlemen and CattleWomen will be out in the south Wal-Mart shopping center parking lot grilling up their famous ribeye steak sandwiches on Saturday, Sept. 3 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

 


Cullman County Democratic HQ Grand Opening- starts at 11 a.m.

The Cullman County Democrats in conjunction with the North Central Alabama Young Democrats (NCAYD) will be hosting a Grand Opening event Saturday, Sept. 3 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. for the Cullman Democratic Campaign Office. Headline speakers for the event include candidate for U.S. Senate Ron Crumpton, a representative from Forward Alabama and Chairwoman of the Alabama Democratic Party, Nancy Worley.

Meet Tide Star Glen Coffee- starts at noon

Saturday, Sept. 3 from noon-2 p.m. at Outfitters Cullman, 1708 Second Ave. SW. $10 per signature; free photo to first 50 in line. Glen Coffee was a running back for the Alabama Crimson Tide and is currently a United States Army paratrooper.
