CULLMAN COUNTY – Two separate and apparently unrelated shooting incidents occurred tonight in Cullman County, one near Vinemont and one in the city of Good Hope.

According to Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry, "We have two separate shooting incidents that have occurred tonight related to domestic issues."

In the first incident, on County Road 1294 near Vinemont, one person was shot. "I can confirm that we do have an individual who is shot. The scene is secure. There is no danger to the community," said Gentry.

The suspect is in custody and the victim was airlifted to Huntsville Hospital.

"In the other incident, at Good Hope, deputies and investigators are still following up, but there are no injuries." At least two people fired shots. No arrests have been made.

Gentry says that the two incidents are separate and not related.

"Once we have further information, we'll be sending out some updates," he said.

This is a developing story….
