Flavin J. Powell, 83, of Olive Springs, Tenn., formerly of Vinemont, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016 in Knoxville Tenn.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Moss Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Mrs. Powell was born in Double Springs on November 1, 1932. She worked as a nutritionist at Vinemont School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Percy Powell and daughters, Janice Smith and Debbie Boyd.
Survivors include daughters, Doreen (Benson) Martinez and Tina (Tony) Morocco; a son, Glynn (Janet Fay) Powell; sisters, Sid Cromer and Susie Lively; a brother, Leslie Powell; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Moss Funeral Home from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m.
