BATTLEGROUND – The Freedom Fridays program at Camp Liberty was set to begin tonight, Aug. 12, but had to be postponed due to technical difficulties.
“I sincerely regret to announce that Freedom Friday will be postponed this evening due to technical difficulties,” said Joseph Land of Camp Liberty. “A replacement bulb for a projector was ordered in for delivery today. However, it has been delayed due to the flooding in Louisiana. We sincerely regret that we will not be able to show the movie this evening. Please watch our Facebook page for the rescheduling of tonight's feature. Otherwise, we hope to see a lot of you two weeks from tonight at our next Freedom Friday!”
The film that was set to kick off the summer movie series was “Top Gun,” which will be rescheduled.
Freedom Fridays at Camp Liberty will now debut on Friday, Aug. 26 with the showing of “Independence Day.” Freedom Fridays are free to attend, and concessions will be available for purchase.
Camp Liberty is located at 15719 Alabama Highway 157 in Battleground.
