Funeral services for Elizabeth Inez Holmes, 94, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Jimmy Drinkard officiating, with interment in Cullman Heritage Cemetery.

Mrs. Holmes passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at her residence. She was born November 9, 1921 to Monk Oliver and Vera Drinkard Childers. She was a member of First Assembly of God and a pastor’s wife for 30 years and a long time worker in the church.
Mrs. Holmes is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 65 years, Rev. Millard H. Holmes; daughter, Janet Marie Schnittker; brothers, Laco, Berlin and O.Q. Childers; sisters, Ruby Bailey and Susie Childers.
Survivors include her son, Jimmy (Billie) Holmes; son-in-law, Randy Schnittker; brother, Billy (Sarah) Childers; sisters, Angie Veal and Bernice Chesser; grandchildren, Kenny (Beth) Schnittker, Karen (Tim) Collins, Deirdra Sams, Danielle (Michael) Hudson, Leah (Robin) Netherton, Lyndsey (Dustin) Pierce; great-grandchildren, Kayla (Andrew) Davis, Abby Schnittker, Taylor Collins, Kaitlyn Collins, Kaci Collins, Billy Collins, Ryan and Mason Sams, Madelyn, Lilly, Emmett, Warren and Samuel Hudson, Avery and Carter Netherton, Owen Pope, Oliver Pierce; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
