I'm a servant of the people for the people. I want to do the best job I can for everyone in the town and surrounding communities.”Dale Seals
FAIRVIEW – Fairview Mayor Dale Seals has announced he will seek a second term in the upcoming municipal election. Born in Decatur, Seals has lived in Cullman County most of his life. He graduated from Fairview High School in 1989. After serving as a council member, he was given the honor of becoming Fairview’s mayor, replacing longtime mayor Randall Shedd when Shedd was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives in 2012.
“I am running for mayor again so I can continue the vision that Randall Shedd had started so many years ago,” said Seals. “I enjoy serving our community.
“As the mayor, the council and I have accomplished many things. We have started building a new road that will service our new ball fields, which is a part of a 20-year plan. We are also getting roads resurfaced, replacing a large drainage pipe and have started on the construction of a new full-time senior center that will service all the surrounding areas with the Meals on Wheels (program).”
Seals has been married to his wife, Michelle, for seven years. Together they have five children and nine grandchildren.
“I don't consider myself a politician,” he smiled. “I'm a servant of the people for the people. I know that sounds just like one, but I'm not,” he chuckled. “I want to do the best job I can for everyone in the town and surrounding communities.”
