CULLMAN – Agents with the Cullman Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) arrested Jason Anthony Brandmire, 37, of Holly Pond for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

The operation that led to the arrest was executed in the Holly Pond community on Wednesday. CNET agents made entry into the residence where a K9 deputy located a hidden compartment in which the suspect was hiding methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Approximately 14 grams of methamphetamine were seized, along with marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

“This case illustrates why our K9 deputies are such a vital asset to our fight against drugs. They can often find where suspects have hidden drugs when law enforcement is unable to do so,” said Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry. “I would also like to commend the CNET agents for the good job they did on this case."

Brandmire is currently being held in the Cullman County Detention Center on a $7,000 bond.
