CULLMAN – The Cullman County Courthouse was evacuated this morning following a bomb threat called into the Cullman County Sheriff's Office. The threat was determined to be a hoax.

"At approximately 9:20 this morning, the Sheriff's Office received a call," said Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry. "The caller stated that a bomb would explode in the courthouse in 15 minutes, and that more bombs would explode every 15 minutes after that."

The courthouse was quickly evacuated, and law enforcement entered to search the premises. Nothing was found.

"We evacuated and cleared the courthouse and everything is back to normal now," said Gentry.

When asked about the identity of the caller, Gentry said, "We're working on that. We are following up."
