CULLMAN – On Tuesday, April 26, agents with the Cullman Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET) arrested Irina Gouchtchina Roberson, 37, of Cullman. Roberson was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and third-degree escape.

The investigation leading up to yesterday’s arrest began on March 21 in Cullman after CNET agents, who were assisted by Cullman Narcotics investigators, seized 3 ounces of methamphetamine and $7,700 in cash belonging to Roberson.

Roberson evaded custody at the time, but a short while later was located sleeping in the woods in Addison, Alabama by CNET agents and Cullman County Sheriff’s deputies. Roberson was then arrested with the assistance of the Addison Police Department.

“You can’t come into our community to sell your drugs and leave and hide and think we will not come to arrest you to hold your accountable for your crime,” said Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry. “I would also like to commend the fine job CNET, CNI and our deputies did in this case and for and the assistance Addison PD provided as well.”

Roberson is being held in the Cullman County Detention Center on a $1 million bond.
