Funeral services for Mrs. Sybil Kathleen Davis, age 84 of Crane Hill, AL will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Sulphur Springs Baptist in Crane Hill. She will lie in state at the church Saturday one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Moss-Service Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Davis passed away Wednesday at her residence. She was born in Haleyville, AL February 15, 1932 to Raford and Opal Meigs Thompson. She was raised there with her five siblings until she married her husband Randall Davis and relocated to Crane Hill to raise their family on a farm. Her interests included going to church, cooking, planting flowers and being with family and friends. She was always known to lend a helping hand and to show up with hot apple pies for someone in need.
Survivors include four children; Charlotte (Gerald) Goodwin, Connie (Dennis) Fine, Wanda Davis and Larry (Barbara) Davis, four grandchildren; Daniel Holland, Daniell Holland, Ashley Goodwin and Miranda Fine, three siblings; Sally Jones, Hoyt Thompson, and Ruth Hagemore, five great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
