Mr. Hugh E. Shivers of Crane Hill Alabama passed away on April 9, 2016 at his residence at the age of 97. He was born on May 10, 1918 to Hugh and Martha Liddell Shivers. He served in The United States Army in World War II and also in The United States Marines. He is preceded in death by his wife Sarah Shivers, brothers: James and William Shivers and his parents. He worked at US Steel as a furnace operator.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Cemetery in Crane Hill, Alabama. The family will receive friends at the graveside.
Survivors are: Daughter: Catherine (Mike) Downs of Crane Hill, Grandson: Jason (Eshauna) Downs, Great Grandchildren: Katie Sophia Downs, Karyssa and Carter Peak.
