Flossie Courington, 73, of Jasper, entered into rest on April 13, 2016 in Jasper, Alabama.
Miss. Courington was born on May 13, 1942 in Lynn, Alabama. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church for many years, and attended Zion Rest Primitive Baptist Church. Flossie graduated Lynn High School, class of 1960, she worked as a bank teller most of her life. She loved Alabama football. "Roll Tide!"
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Brother Charles Kitchens will officiate. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery at Natural Bridge.
She is survived by her brother, Jesse Ray Courington; a host of nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, G.S. and Annie Courington; brothers, Lester, Hughes, Willie, Bobby Joe, and Travis Courington; sisters, Gaynelle Roberts, Erma Bevis, Ester Mae Tucker, and Pernie Courington.
