Woodland Village Yard Sale

Thursday, April 14, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Friday, April 15, 7 a.m.-3 p.m., weather-permitting, in the front parking lot of the facility. The Activities Committee will begin taking donations on Wednesday, April 13 and will take them throughout the sale. All proceeds will go to Relay For Life.

Cullman County Commission Meeting

The Cullman County Commission meets every second and fourth Tuesday, except in cases where the meeting date falls on a holiday, in which case the meeting is moved to the following day. Meetings are scheduled for 10 a.m. in the Commission office conference room, first floor, Cullman County Courthouse, unless otherwise specified. The next meeting is THURSDAY, April 14, due to the Tuesday, April 12 runoff election.

 

“Althea” at WSCC

The Evelyn Burrow Museum at Wallace State Community College presents “Althea” as part of the South Arts Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers at the Burrow Center for the Fine and Performing Arts on Thursday, April 14 at 9:30 a.m. Following a screening of the film, the filmmaker will engage the audience in a discussion about the film and their work as filmmakers. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

 

Cullman County Board of Education Meeting

Thursday, April 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the Cullman County Schools central office board room, 402 Arnold Street NE. (5:30 p.m. work session)

 

Victim Services of Cullman Spoken Word Night at Karma’s Coffeehouse

April 14, 6-8 p.m. Bring your friends, poetry and music to play/perform as we continue to raise awareness for sexual assault. Victim Services of Cullman is a nonprofit organization that offers a host of services for victims of domestic violence or sexual assault. We are a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization funded by United Way, grants and community contributions.

 

Swamp John’s Dinner

Join us for our Swamp John's dinner to benefit The Grant Brown Memorial Scholarship fund at Wallace State. Dinner is at the Moody Center at C.W. Day Park in Hanceville from 4-7 p.m.; Plates are $11 and include your choice of fish, chicken or shrimp, fries, coleslaw, dessert and tea. Plates are available for dine in or carry out. A drive-thru will also be available.

 

American Legion Post 4 Monthly Meeting

April 14, 6- 8 p.m. Join us for our monthly meeting held at the VFW. Dinner is served at 6 p.m., meeting to follow beginning at 7 p.m.

 

CP&R Community Classes- Dance Lessons

Cullman Caring for Kids- United Way Food Bank

Overeaters Anonymous

Cullman Senior Center Live Band and Karaoke

The Cullman Senior Center will have a live band or karaoke every Thursday from 8 a.m. – noon. For more information, call 256-734-0145. The Cullman Senior Center is located at 1539 Sportsman Lake Road NW.

 

AA Meetings

The Cullman Downtown Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at 1519 St. Joseph St. NW. Every day at noon will be an open discussion meeting, Sunday at 7 p.m. is an open discussion and speaker meeting, Tuesday at 7 p.m. is an open discussion meeting (with meal at 6:30 p.m.), Wednesday at 7 p.m.; Thursday at 10:30 a.m. is women's big book study; and Friday at 7 p.m. is a closed discussion meeting (no card signed).
