Minnie Leah Norris Nickles, age 76, was born October 27, 1939 and passed away on April 6, 2016, in Oneonta, at TLC Nursing Center. Mrs. Nickles was a member of the Philadelphia Baptist Church in Oneonta. She was predeceased by her husband, Emmett Nickles, her parents, Dorothy Vaughn and James and Vera Norris, a sister, Nancy Norris and a son-in-law, Joe Wheeler.

Survivors include: six children, Donald R., II and wife, Paula Johnson, James W. and wife, Kathy Johnson, Lynne Johnson Wheeler, Richard A. and wife, Jan Johnson, Charles A. and wife, Lorraine Fancher and Kimberly Fancher and husband, Scott Smith;  fourteen grandchildren, Wesley and wife, Shannon Johnson, Alan and wife, Karmen Johnson, Ashley and husband, Jason Phillips, Laura and husband, Jonathan Gaddy, Jessica and husband, Chris Keith, Michael and wife, Katie Johnson, Shelley and husband, Stephen Hinton, Matthew and wife, Brittany Sanders, Kyle Fancher and fiancé,' Jordan, Cody Sanders, Jody Wheeler, Mandy and husband, Chad Kilpatrick, Melissa and husband, Terry Brasseale and Kyle and wife, Melissa Nelson; sixteen great-grandchildren, Laila, Layton, Shelby, Bailey, Landon, Allie, Amelia, Taylor, Karoline, Jonah, Clay, Davis, Kyleigh, Kole, Kooper and Sadie; two brothers, Bill and wife, Jane Norris and Steve and wife, Judy Norris; a sister, Peggy and husband, Bobby Shadwrick and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on April 8, 2016, at 2 p.m., at Lemley Funeral Home. Reverend Dan Boatman and Reverend Bric Latham officiated. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery.
